Why You Need to Contact the Account Owner
Email addresses in BrokerBot are tied directly to your account login and profile. For security reasons, only the account owner has the permissions needed to update this information on your behalf.
How to Contact Your Account Owner
Reach out to your account owner through any of the following methods:
Direct message or email — Contact them the same way you normally would for account-related questions
Your team's communication platform — This may be Slack, Teams, or another internal tool your team uses
Phone or text — If it's urgent, a quick call or text may be the fastest option
When you reach out, be sure to include:
Your current email address on the account
The new email address you'd like to use
A brief note confirming it's your request (for security verification purposes)
What to Expect
Once you've submitted your request to the account owner:
They will review and verify your identity before making any changes
The update will be made on the backend — you do not need to do anything additional
Once updated, you'll need to use your new email address to log in going forward
You may receive a confirmation notification once the change has been applied
